WeatherPeek will bring quick weather highlights to the Home screen
WeatherPeek, an upcoming jailbreak tweak from the AtomDevTeam, does something pretty cool—it allows you to use a simple “peek” gesture while on the first Home screen page to see current and upcoming weather info for a designated area. The peek gesture is basically a swipe and hold gesture that reveals the weather information hidden off screen. Watch our video inside to see what I mean.... Read the rest of this post here

MIT’s cheetah robot can now autonomously detect and jump over hurdles
MIT's biomimetic robotics lab, which last year developed a free-running untethered cheetah robot capable of bounding along at 10mph, has now created a new version—Cheetah 2—that can autonomously jump over hurdles.
These aren't just token hurdles, either: the current version of the robot can clear obstacles that are up to 45 centimetres (18 inches) tall, while maintaining a steady speed of 5mph (8kph). 45 centimetres is about half the height of the robot.
While untethered jumping is already quite an achievement for a biomimetic robot, the way in which Cheetah 2 does it is even more impressive. There isn't a human pushing a "jump" button; Cheetah 2 is autonomous. Using on-board LIDAR, the robot can detect obstacles, estimate the distance to the object and how tall it is, and then adjust its stride so that it's perfectly placed to jump over.

Apple Looking to Sign Drake, Pharrell and David Guetta as iTunes Radio Guest DJs
Apple Music will reportedly combine the best features of Pandora, Spotify and YouTube into one service, including streaming music and video, artist pages, a YouTube-style sharing section called Apple Connect and a refreshed version of iTunes Radio. Apple also wanted to offer lyrics as part of the service, but does not want to pay extra to record labels to offer the feature.
Apple is expected to announce its new streaming music service on June 8 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, building upon the assets it acquired through its Beats Music purchase last year. The company will reportedly push customers to sign up for Apple Music by offering SoundCloud-like sharing, exclusive content and the aforementioned three-month free trial period.
